Dark Twisted Fantasy

A dear friend, known as HW, invited me to show at Six Summit Gallery in Ivoryton, CT. So i figured after a long hiatus from posting on my blog -------------------------i'm back.

The work here is for exhibition and will also include 3 body props. This imagery is from an intervention in 2011 with dancer/choreographer Tony Olivares and Jonathan Morales behind the lens. The images have subsequently been converted into hi-con objectified photos -- with the framework of body as object.

With this work I am using the inventory from the project documentation - a rich expereince in viewing/choreographing and experiencing the ideal dancing body.

The body - a very beautiful, severe, graceful, intense object.

If your body was an object - what object would you be?

Body shots

The below images are of users interacting with geometrical body props, a body repositioning system. The props have been edited out leaving the users in alternate arrangements and positions. Interactivity is captured, isolated and reduced to the figure/ground relationship.
